Now we are looking for Crown Please advise the best available crown What is the criteria for selecting Crown Personally I think we should go for Zirconium crown? How and why the charges are varying based on warranty of crown? What is the best recommendation? How much time we should wait after RCT to go for Crown?

You can go for a pfm crown after rct . It has good strength.. zirconia crown has good strength along with good aesthetics (looks).. if you are concerned more with aesthetics you can go for zirconia crowns otherwise pfm is always an option.. and yes price of zirconia crowns varies with warranty time

Quality wise If the rct treated tooth is posteriors (back tooth -molars) u can go for Metal ceramic crowns as that area is not visible and require more strength and for posterior tooth zirconia crown I would recommend due to strength issue On the other hand if the rct treated tooth is anterior(front tooth) u can go for either zirconia or emax crown where emax is better as .Both zirconia and emax look natural (emax better) Budget depends on the clinic ranging from rs 3-15k

Hello. In an ideal situation you can go for any type of crown based on your budget. Different types of crown require different amounts of trimming of the tooth. The ziconium crowns are more esthetic in nature where as the metal ceramic crowns are a bit unnatural in appearance. In some scenarios such as taking your biting force into consideration, your dentist might suggest a particular type of crown for you. In that case please go ahead with what your dentist suggests. Crowns have to be placed as soon as possible after the completion of your RCT.

You can go for a crown According to your budget and also according to what the dentist suggests regarding the biting forces, zirconium is more esthetic and has a warranty and is best for anterior teeth. Metal ceramic can withstand more occlusal forces but not as esthetic as zirconium. you can wait for 15 days but not longer because the tooth which has undergone root canal has less strength to withstand biting forces so it has to be restored with a crown so that it does not fracture on eating hard things and also to prevent reinfection in case the cement gets dislodged.
