They do work, because orthodontic therapy can be done at any age if the gum and bone health is good, and the only difference is that the duration of the treatment is slightly longer because the bone density increases with age. If you are concerned about your appearance during the treatment and if you have an active social life you can opt for clear aligners which can give the same results in approximately the same duration.
