Acute Pancreatitis symptoms
Hi, I'm a nondrinkers, however I got Pancreatitis pain twice due to excessive consumption of non veg items, I have been advised not to take excessive non veg, so I eat very less nowadays, my question is, can I take anything other than red meat, the first time I got the pain after I took prawns the day before, even though I'm not sure that is the reason, my wife strictly restricted me to have prawns, so is it safe to have fish, prawns, will it lead to pancreatic pain again? Thanks

Hello, Pancreatitis is a very painful and serious condition and once diagnosed needs extensive management. The pain you experienced May not necessary be pancreatitis, so I suggest a visit to your nearest physiscian/gastro enterologist for a more precise diagnosis. Coming to your question of non veg food Red meats, oily spicy foods, fatty dairy products and alcohol can trigger pain episodes. Indian food, especially non veg is curry based which is rich in the oil and spice. So avoid (as much as possible)foods having what I  have mentioned above. Prawn per se doesn't trigger attacks.
Next Steps
visit your nearest doctor for full evaluation.
Health Tips
avoid the following red meat fried food mayonnaise Indian sweets full fat dairy products alcohol smoking
