About to Deliver & Covid +ve
Hi Due date is in a few days from now. Today, her RT-PCR test came positive. Will it bring any complications to the baby or the delivery? Doctor(who is unaware of the rt pcr report) checked her and said the baby is Fine... Should the doctor be informed about her being tested positive? Will it affect the baby? Or should I wait for the delivery pain which is due in few days? Should covid +ve pregnant women be continuously monitored? Or is it okay to sanitize often and wear masks and follow covid protocols and wait for the delivery pain

Yes you should definitely inform the doctor. It would be helpful in managing her better, knowing the circumstances. And yes you should follow covid protocols but there needs to be better monitoring not just for baby but for the patient as well.
