8mm ostium secundum ASD left to right
My son 3 years 2 months in 2021 ( born in sep 2018 ) May 2021 we came to knw that he is having 8mm hole in his heart still it is not closed in september report also
So we are having doubt tat it will close automatically or we have go for surgery.
Wheather it will harm to is life or health.
Kindly please suggest the next process

8 mm Ostium secundum ASD is unlikely to close by it self. Nothing to worry as it wont cause any significant issue. Let the child grow. Device closure can be done later when whild is adolescent or adult age.

It is unlikely that it will close on its own. Since he has right sided volume overload, it needs tk be closed with device
