8 * 4mg Dexamethasone in pregnancy-safe?
Hi, I am 36 weeks pregnant. 28 years old, 75 kg weight, 5"4 ft inch height. All fetal movements and growth is normal. Taking L-Argine based sachets for amniotic fluid increase when AF was 7. Now it is 8.5 fluid level. Took 6 injections of Dexamethasone 4mg each. Today went to check up and the doctor asked to take 2 more injections. Is it safe? Read some articles this was banned in Sweden for possible outcome of growth issues in babies 1 out of 5. I am worried but the doctor saying it is safe. Please suggest. Doctor is MD in OBS & GYN. Why is she prescribing steroids when there's no issues with my baby? Please help 🙏

For an anticipated pre term labour steroids are given...in the early part of pregnancy steroids are known to effect the baby..check with ur obstetrician if she has seen any features of anticipated preterm labour in you...if that is the case steroids are to be given
