7days baby boy TSH 13.97 uIU/ml is high?
Hi, Baby boy late preterm 36 weeks, PIH with abnormal Doppler, GDM, Hypothyroidism. I was taking 50 mcg during pregnancy. Baby boy weight 2.1kg born on 15 Nov 2022... Baby cried immediately after birth. Apgar scores 8/10 at 1 min and 9/10 at 5 mins. Baby was stable and  shifted to mother... Mother and baby both O+ blood group. 48 hours Bilirubin reports: Total Bilirubin 9.5 mg/dl, Conjugated Bilirubin 0.1 mg/dl, Unconjugated Bilirubin 9.4 mg/dl. 4 day midnight  Bilirubin reports: Bilirubin total 16.4 mg/dl, Direct reacting Bilirubin 0.4 mg/dl, indirect Bilirubin 16.0 mg/dL. 5 day admitted in hospital for Photo therepy (Blue light) 24 hours. Day 6, Total Bilirubin 10.0 mg/dl, Conjugated Bilirubin 0.1 mg/dl, Unconjugated Bilirubin 9.9 mg/dl. Discharged from hospital. Day 7 Thyroid function test serum. T3 131.5 ng/dl, T4 10.85 ng/dl, TSH 13.97 uIU/ml. Is the TSH very high? Is this a side effects of any of the above mentioned? Will it subside on its own or need to take medication

The TSH is normal as per age of the baby. You can repeat the thyroid profile after 1 week. Bilirubin and other reports are normal.
