6 week pregnancy taking metformin sr
Hi I am 6 weeks pregnant and my sugar level in fasting in 105 smg/dl. So my gynaecologist prescribed me metformin sr 500mg. I am taking a special diet also for sugar control. But for the last 3 days I have been passing loose and watery stools whenever I eat something. Unable to hold food in my stomach. Otherwise no stomach pain or camps before stool. My sugar levels after breakfast and lunch are below 110mg/dl. Only fasting glucose levels are increased. Can metformin gives you diarrhea??

Metformin does cause diarrhoea in some but it tends to subside in some time. If it doesn't, consult your doctor regarding medicine change.
