Most fevers in children are viral in origin and take 3-7 days to subside completely.
Give steam inhalations for cold and cough 4-5 times a day,use decongestant nasal drops for nasal block.
Give paracetamol for fever and repeat every 4 hours if required.
If fever is not reducing with plain paracetamol, give combiflam, can be repeated 4 hourly.
Reports are normal, showing viral infection only.
