You might have been given amoxicillin for respiratory infection and sinarest for running nose. Usually takes two to three days for infection to subside and improvement in running nose. do not give sinarest if there is no running nose as it might cause increased dryness leading to blocked nose and dry cough. Visit your pediatrician after 3 days if complaints persist. There might be need to increase the duration of antibiotic or change the antibiotic. At home you can keep the baby warm by using woolen garments. If breastfeeding is going on give as much as the child can take since the breastfeeding contains antibodies which also helps in decreasing the infection.
Next Steps
meet the pediatrician to rule out chest infection
