The choice on whether it should be a cesarean or a normal vaginal delivery will depend on multiple factors, gestational diabetes alone is not indicative for cesarean section. The most common indications for primary cesarean delivery include labor dystocia, abnormal or indeterminate fetal heart rate tracing, fetal malpresentation, multiple gestation, and suspected fetal macrosomia.
