Every dr told me thumb sucking is normal behaviour for kids . My baby is 2 year old . But dentist told me thumb sucking is not good because it affect bone shape of teeth . Try to stop it . Plz tell me any medicine . I applied everything butter but it doesn't help . Can I use femite lotion ? Or any medicine u can prescribe?

No donot use anything like that. Instead apply a nail polish( which only used for nails) and explain him that its a harmful product which shouldn't be ingested. Motivate him side effects of thumb sucking in future and show him some examples . As appling any substance may have some affects and also frustates and makes child angry No medical or orthopedic intervention should be done upto 4 years

No medicine you apply will help stop thumb sucking. You have to gently remove thumb from the mouth whenever you see it. After you remove it try to distract the child with something Ask everyone in your family to do it
