14days child with Fits
Our baby born on May1, 2021. She was active 2 days and on 3rd night & 4th morning she got fits. From then the hospital conducted CFS analysis, CBP, CRP and Blood and serum culture. Reports shows, 50.2 CRP which is a cause of concern.
Kindly advise us what are the reasons for abnormal increase of CRP.
Pl note, she has been on antibiotics since May 4th Night. She's in NICU at a child hospital. Clinically the baby is good.

Increase crp could be due to neonatal sepsis.
The next course will be decided by your treating doctor. Generally the antibiotics will be given for 14-21 days depending on the investigations. After discharge your doctor would advise you for further care of baby.
