No you cannot give it. Please continue breast or formula feeding, whichever giving regularly. Do not give home remedies or anything else. Babies stomach is still adapting to the outside work and babies can pass stools once in 5 days also, if the other days tummy is soft, and baby is active and feeding well. For any queries, book an online consultation with me. I am a lactation consultant, IYCF (Infant and Young Child Feeding) nutrition expert with an interest in Childhood Infections and Vaccinations. Take care!

No laxatives needed when crying excessively and passing hard stools. One of the reasons is mother not taking adequate fluids and mother milk doesn't contain waste to pass daily.
Next Steps
Relax if the baby passing soft stool after no matter how many days maybe.
Health Tips
Give adequate hydration to mother and longer breast feeds of 15 to 20 minutes every time.
